My name is Mats and I wear a kilt to honor the land, the Culture, the people, the beer and the whisky. And I send a Picture to show you, taken last Christmas. —Mats Linderborg

These are a few of my many kilts (5). I started wearing one for RenFaires and then expanded into my ‘normal’ life with a formal prince Charlie.  I attend Highland games and have performed several weddings in my kilts. —Russ

We have a Scottish Dance Group in Bonnes a village in the Charente Region in France .we love to wear our kilts when we do demonstrations of dances at Fetes at villages in this area. Also for Scottish Fetes, St. Andrews and Burns Night, ect. The photo is from our dance at the Chateau at a village called Lucignac and show me dancing with my partner Emmanuel.

Very simply, I wear a kilt primarily for the most special of formal occasions. For example, family weddings. Other occasions include taking my cheeky daughter to Burns Night, walking with the Royal Canadian Legion to raise funds for a veteran’s residence and attending annual formal messes at HMCS Stadacona (CFB Halifax) to commemorate the Battle of the Atlantic. — Richard Krehbiel, Kisbey, Saskatchewan, Canada

First Kilt

This is one of the first photos of me with my first kilt. It was Halloween 2011 and I was trying out my new Wallace tartan SportKilt. I was a little intimidated about wearing a kilt in public so I thought Halloween would create the least amount of attention. I didn’t even have kilt boots at the time. Ah, youth.
